21 September 2013 [Review] The ark is resurrected Frida Kahlo as a performance artist. Self-portraits are just one of many strategies in her staging of a proud Mexican identity, and the ark get sharp and promising folded her work in the context of Mexico's newfound self-awareness after the revolution of 1910-17.
The first thing you see when you enter the Ark exhibition Frida Kahlo - a life in art, is a colorful photograph of the artist blown up on the wall in large size.
Especially when the artist as with Frida Kahlo explicit spent himself in his artistic project and thus in a manner lifted the border between his art and his life. However, osis Arken delivers sharp and insightful quite a different story.
Frida Kahlo with the selected along overgrown eyebrows and traditional Tehuana costumes and elaborate hairstyles is not a mirror of the woman Kahlo's private feelings, but a deliberate clarification of some ethnic features.
Kahlo is a work of art The first photograph in the exhibition is not a one-off. In fact, the show almost just as far as a presentation of photographs of the colorful and distinctive Kahlo, as it is a presentation of her paintings.
The photographs will therefore unfold into her artistic project and become a performative extension of her paintings. osis She was a work of art, and her works conveyed her artistic vision.

A historical blackboard illustrated with photographs, osis paintings and small video clips tell about it in Mexico, she grew up in and then transformed with the revolution, as we learn how she and her husband Diego Rivera participated in restoring Mexico's cultural identity and history and also was invited within the leading artistic circles in the U.S. and Europe.
It also means that her self-portraits and other applicable exotic allegorical images no longer appear so strange that they could otherwise get to because Kahlo's style is
